Public in-house research:
The research library at the Siskiyou County Museum is available for public use in-house. There is a vast collection of photographs, manuscripts, books, maps, newspapers, and printed ephemera as well as an extensive clippings file. Those wishing to do research should make arrangements in advance by phone, email or surface mail to insure that adequate resource materials and physical space is available to facilitate research.

Initial research requests are free of charge up to the first 1/2 hour. This provides for an initial search of:

In-Depth Research Requests:
In-depth research requests are billed at $15 per 1/2 hour.
Please contact us for additional information by phone, email or via surface mail.
- Photocopies made of stable archival materials and other materials or services, including shipping, have additional fees.
- Please inquire about the nominal fees on photocopies or photo duplication charges from our extensive Siskiyou County photographic holdings.
- Newspaper obituaries, stories, or other information not able to be photocopied can be transcribed from the originals; cost may vary depending on length.
- Extensive information is available in our excellent collection of newspaper and journal archives.
- Special requests may incur additonal fees.
